C3). How can I find solutions for the past papers given in the VLE (LMS)?

Past papers have been published in the VLE (LMS) as quizzes. You can answer them like quizzes. If you want to know the answer for a particular question, select all answers and click the Submit button for that question. The marks you have obtained for those quizzes are not considered for assignments.

[ Back ]

C4). Are practice quiz marks considered for assignments?

No. Practice quiz marks are not considered for calculating assignment marks or final result.
By answering the practice quizzes after referring a lesson, you can decide, whether you have understood the lesson properly or not.

[ Back ]

C5). We can review our assignments soon after the completion. But when we closed it, there's no option to review it again. Why can't we review our assignment questions more than once?

The marks of the assignments are considered to obtain diploma/higher diploma. Therefore if one could review the assignments again and again he might use it in a wrong way which will become a bad practice. Therefore we cannot allow you to review your assignments except immediately after your attempt.

[ Back ]

C6). What are 'grades' in assignments?

Grade for assignments are calculated once you completed both assignments, as follows
40% for assignment 1 and 60% for assignment 2.

If the average mark is 50 or more for both assignments, you will get a pass grade. For each assignment there are three attempts. (We advice students to try all three attempts irrespective of marks, it is a good preparation exercise).
Please note that you should complete both assignments to obtain your final assignment grade for the course.
When deciding marks for an assignment, the highest marks among three attempts are considered.

[ Back ]

C7). What is the best way for answering questions in Assignments?

Without properly studying, it is really hard to answer the assignment questions.

Some conditions are applied & introduced to avoid random guessing.
For example, one cannot get any marks by clicking all five choices. Although negative marking scheme is there, the minimum mark for a question is zero. Therefore wrong answers will not affect other questions.

Students will be able to see their replies, only soon after attempting the assignment quiz. (We have implemented some controls to avoid bad practices).

[ Back ]

C8). What is the benefit of using forums for my studies?

You can post, subject related questions, new information you have found related to the subject and other important details, into forums. Then others can answer the questions or add more information to that post. The best way to post into forums is to post your question or information into the forum which is under the related lesson.
You can also share ideas by replying to others forum posts with your comments.
